The Rev. Scott Delgarno and the Rev. Joyce DeGraaff will officiate. Mrs. Lindsay, 86, of Ashland, died Tuesday (Nov. 12, 2002) in Medford. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 626, Ashland, OR 97520. She was born April 3, 1916, in Ninnekah, Okla., to Claude Chester Stephens Sr. and Nancy Frances Stephens. She graduated from Northeastern Oklahoma State Teachers College in Tallequah, Okla., in 1939. On Oct. 12, 1941, in Muskogee, Okla., she married David Thomas Lindsay Sr., who died in 1991. They moved to Ashland in 1941. Mrs. Lindsay was a teacher at Lone Pine Elementary in Medford and Walker School in Ashland. She was a member of Business and Professional Women, the American Association of University Women (AAUW), and I.O.O.F. Rebekahs. Mrs. Lindsay enjoyed reading murder mysteries, bird watching and antique shopping. Survivors include a daughter, Nancy Joan Kinsey; one grandchild; and two great=grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, David T. Jr.; and two brothers, Claude C. and Melvin Stephens.
