Roy Lee Lair was born March 28, 1970, and died on Wednesday, April 11, 2001. Services are under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home. -------- The Chickasha Express-Star 13 April 2001 Roy Lee Lair Funeral service for Roy Lee Lair, 31, of Tuttle, Oklahoma will be held at 1:30 p.m., Friday, April 13, 2001, in the Chapel of Sevier Funeral Home, Chickasha. Roy Lee Lair was born March 28, 1970, in Chickasha, Oklahoma, the son of T.J. and Vivian (Bennett) Lair, and died Wednesday, April 11, 2001, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Roy Lee lived around the Tuttle area all of his life. He graduated from Amber-Pocasset High School in 1989. He participated in Special Olympics at the regional and state events. His favorite events were basketball and track. He worked at the Chickasha Opportunity Work Shop for 16 years. Roy attended many community functions across Grady County and enjoyed fellowship with the Baptist churches at Amber, Tuttle and Pocasset. Roy's ability to develop friendships touched the lives of many. His personal influence created needed changes in the fields of education and health care. The new programs and policies have helped accommodate the unique situations of Roy and others. Roy Lee was preceded in death by: his mother: Vivian Lair in March, 2001, grandparents: Slygh (Doc) and Wilma Bennett and Earl and Eva Lair. Survivors include: his father: T.J. Lair of Tuttle, Oklahoma; 4 sisters and their husbands: Shelley and Sandy Hill of Chickasha, Oklahoma, Laura and Mike Roberts of Alabaster, Alabama, Gayle and Joe Arterberry of Amber, Oklahoma, Rita and Tim Henderson of Stillwater, Oklahoma; 3 brothers and their wives: Tommy and Diane Lair of Tuttle, Oklahoma, John and Michaeleen Lair of Amber, Oklahoma, David Lair of Minco, Oklahoma; 3 aunts: Aunt Jean Streber and husband, Harry, of Tuttle, Oklahoma, Aunt Anna Owens and husband, Bill, of Midwest City, Oklahoma, Aunt Linda Humphrey and husband, Joe, of Chickasha, Oklahoma; numerous other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Interment will be in the Fairview Cemetery, Tuttle, under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.
