Largent Funeral service for Albert A. Largent, age 80, of Chickasha, was held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, April 5, 2002, at the Calvary Baptist Church. Rev. Ron Caudill officiated. Mr. Largent was born the [son] of Tom Largent and Janie (Davis) Largent on February 2, 1922, in Purdy, OK. He died on April 3, 2002, in Chickasha. Mr. Largent was raised in the Lindsay area and began working at an early age cutting broom corn and doing general farm labor. He married Anna Mae Weyrick in 1947, and they made their home in Chickasha. Albert worked for the City of Chickasha Parks Department for several years. He also worked as a meat cutter, construction worker and a farm laborer. Mr. Largent had been a member of the Calvary Baptist Church since 1973. He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Earnest Largent, 2 brothers, Alva and Roy Largent, 3 sisters, Elvena Trammell, Dovie Dutton and Ozella Stevens, and a grandson, Kyle Largent. Survivors include: his wife: Anna Mae Largent, of the home; son: Ross Largent and wife, Jayne, of Chickasha; daughter: Latricia Doughty and husband, Donnie, of Chickasha; 11 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Interment was at Greenhill Cemetery in Lindsay. Services were under the direction of McRay Funeral Home.
