Larson died Sept. 28, 2003. ========== The Chickasha Express-Star 1 October 2003 RICHARD "DICK' LARSON CEMENT - funeral services for RICHARD DOUGLAS "DICK" LARSON, 70,of Cement, was held Tuesday, September 30, 2003 at 11:oo A>M> in the United Methodist Church, Cement, OK with Rev. Bill Long, pastor, officiating. Mr. Larson died Sunday, September 28, 2003 at his home. Burial was int h e Cement Cemetery with Naval Military Honors and under direction of Hodge Funeral Home, Fletcher, OK. He was boen April 14, 1933 in Duluth, Minnesota. He served in the U.S. Navy starting in 1951 aboard the USS Platte for 4 years and then the reserves for another 4 years. He began his career with the General Telephone Company of California in November 1955 and retired after 30 years of service in 1986. He married Shirley J. Jackson on March 17, 1956 in San Bernardino, California. They moved to Cement in 1996. Survivors include; his wife, Shirley of the home, a son, David Larson and his wife, Eva, of Cement, a daughter, Deanne (Larson) Hart and her husband, Michael, of Tehachapi, California, 5 grandchildren; Kellie, Jennifer, Courtney, Randall and Mikayla, a sister, Joan Loy and her husband, Ron, of Arizona, his father-in-law, Les Jackson and his wife, Mary, of Cement, a sister-in-law, Altha Robertson of Cement and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Douglas Raynard Larson and Lena Elizabeth (Hyde) Larson.
