Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Cornerstone Baptist Church with Coy Wiley, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery by Memorial Park Funeral Home, 6969 E. Interstate 40. Mrs. Long was born April 22, 1922, in Atoka, Okla., to Albey and Bessie Simmons. She married J.D. Long in Rush Springs, Okla., on Aug. 16, 1941. She was preceded in death by her husband in May 1975; a sister, Ellen Jones; and two brothers, Ralph Simmons and Houston Simmons. Survivors include a son, Keith Long and wife, Sheila; four sisters, Mona Randall and husband, Frank, of Sulphur Springs, Jen Knight and husband, Zearl, of Elk City, Okla., and Patricia Simmons and Rose Simmons, both of Dennison; two brothers, Edmund Simmons and wife, Ovella, of Blanchard, Okla., and Jesse Simmons; two sisters-in-law, Ella Simmons of Comanche, Okla., and Mary Jo Simmons of Dillard, Ore.; her stepmother, Willie Gay Simmons; three grandchildren, Danielle, Meredith and Tyler Long; and all of the children that she cared for from Faith Baptist, who lovingly called her Nanny Long or Aunt Helen.
