Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in Sixth Street Church of Christ with Leon Talley and D.L. Harguess officiating. Burial will be in Friona Cemetery by Ellis-Blackwell Funeral Home of Friona. Mrs. May was born in Frederick, Okla., and moved to Friona in 1948 from Rush Springs, Okla. In 1989, she retired after 23 years as secretary of Sixth Street Church of Christ where she also was a member. Mrs. May was a homemaker. She published a book of poetry in 1988. She married Hardy May in 1928 at Frederick. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1978 and by an infant son, Hardy Max May, in 1929. Survivors include a son, Arlen May of Duncan, Okla.; a daughter, Nelda Talley of Friona; a sister, Ann Graham of Rush Springs, Okla.; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a great-greatgrandchild. The family suggest memorials be to Sixth Church of Christ, 502 E. Sixth, Friona, TX 79035.
