MRS. MOBLEY PASSES AWAY HERE SUNDAY Mrs. Liddie Mobley, 76, died Sunday in the home of Mrs. J.J. Gaut, where she had been taken for medical attention. Funeral service was held that afternoon in the Church of Christ, Rev. C. W. Spencer, Christian minister, conducting the service. The pall bearers were Louis Leverett, Hugh Hale, C. W. Wood, L. W. Steger, A. D. Smith, and J.W. Johnson. Interment was made in the Rush Springs cemetery with Simons funeral home in charge. Mrs. Mobley was born in 1857 in Arkansas. She was united in marriage in 1870 with William Mobley, and to this union 11 children were born, two of whom preceded her in death. She united with the Methodist church at an early age. Survivng are one daughter, Mrs. Beulah Conn of Lindsay; eight sons, Clem of Lubbock, Texas; Ben of Bowie, Texas, Bird of Phoenix, Arizona; Jim of Cheyenne, Oklahoma; Willie, Len, Dee and Bill of Rush Springs; seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren. -------------------------------------------------------------------- Return to Grady County Archives: http://www.usgwarchives.net/ok/grady/grady.html
