Marion G. McKee, Alex, who died in the service, are set for 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the Methodist church at Alex with Rev. John P. King officiating. Burial is to be in the Erin Springs cemetery at Lindsay. Military services are to be conducted at the graveside by the American Legion post of Lindsay. The body arrived here by train at noon today. The Brown Funeral home is in charge of the arrangements. Pvt. McKee died in the Panama Canal zone on Nov. 2, 1942. He was born on Feb. 23, 1919, and had volunteered for the army on Jan. 9, 1941. Survivors include: His parents, Mr. and Mrs. James McKee of Alex; five brothers, Clyde of Blanchard, Leonard of Lindsay, Bill of the home address, Henry (serving in the army at Aberdeen, Md.), and Arvil (serving in the army on Guam); and two sisters, Mrs. Elzie Luther of Bonterre, Mo., and Mrs. Winnie Schoolfield of Alex. ========= THE CHICKASHA STAR - Thursday, May 20, 1948 SERVICES HELD THIS WEEK FOR PVT. M. MCKEE Pvt. Marion G. McKee, son of Mr. and Mrs. James McKee, was born February 23, 1919, at Bradley, Oklahoma, and passed away November 2, 1942, in the Panama Canal Zone at the age of 23 years. Marion attended the Sandy Grove and District 72 schools. He volunteered for the army on January 9, 1941. He was well liked by his friends and was a studious young man. He leaves to mourn his passing, his father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. James McKee, of Alex; five brothers, Clyde of Blanchard, Leonard of Lindsay, Bill of the home address, Henry, serving in the army at Aberdeen, Md., and Arvil serving in the army on Guam; and two sisters, Mrs. Elzie Luther of Bonterre, Mo., and Mrs. Minnie Schoolfield of Alex, besides other relatives and a host of friends. Funeral services were held this week at the Methodist church in Alex, with John Paul King officiating. Pallbearers were Loyd Gosnell, Sterling Huff Jr., Donnie Jeffcoach, Albert Keith, Willie Shaw and Walter Shaw. Singers were Mr. and Mrs. R. C. Hale, Mrs. Reford Foster, Mrs. Roy Peters, Mrs. Dave Timberlake, Mrs. Dial Baker, Mrs. Gladace Goyne, Mrs. Leroy Goyne, Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Addy, C. L. Worden and B. M. McElroy.
