Persons or organizations desiring to use this material for purposes other than stated above must obtain the written consent of the file contributor. ====================================================================== he Chickasha Express-Star 11 April 2002 ALINE McCAUGHTRY Funeral services for Frances Aline McCaughtry, 78, of Chickasha, will be held Friday, April 12, 2002, at 10:30 a.m. in the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Gary Bell of the First Christian Church officiating. Aline McCaughtry was born December 2, 1923, in Talco, Texas, the daughter of Clanton Fulton O'Dea and Alice Virginia Vinson O'Dea. She died Tuesday, April 9, 2002, in Chickasha. Aline graduated from Paris High School, in Paris, Texas, in 1941, and attended Paris Junior College. She married First Lt. Floyd M. "Pete" McCaughtry on May 4, 1945, in the First Methodist Church of Paris, Texas. In 1951, she and her two sons joined First Lt. McCaughtry in Mannheim, Germany, where he was stationed. The family returned to the United States in 1953. Later, in 1956, her husband was stationed at Ft. Bliss, and the family moved to El Paso, Texas. She came to Chickasha in 1964 with the family to be nearer to other family members while rearing her own children. Aline worked in retail sales for several businesses in the Chickasha community for many years, retiring in 1985. She was preceded in death by both parents, Clanton and Alice O'Dea, her husband, Floyd M. McCaughtry, two sisters, Ruby Colley and Christine King, and four brothers, Don O'Dea, Clifton O'Dea, Roy O'Dea and Clarence O'Dea. Survivors include two sons: Robert McCaughtry and his fiancee Annette Hoffiman, of San Antonio, Texas, Gary McCaughtry and wife Jayma, of Lafayette, Colorado; two daughters: Lynn Terry and husband Michael, of Chickasha, and Lorrie Fitzpatrick and husband Danny, of Chickasha; two grandsons: Paul McCaughtry, of Dallas, Texas, and Daniel Fitzpatrick, of Chickasha; two granddaughters: Ellen Terry, of Norman, and Anna Fitzpatrick, of Chickasha; one brother, Charles Ulman O'Dea and wife Betty, of Norfolk, Virginia; one sister-in-law, Lavelle Sanford, of Chickasha and several nieces and nephews. Interment will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
