Persons or organizations desiring to use this material for purposes other than stated above must obtain the written consent of the file contributor. ====================================================================== The Chickasha Express-Star 25 March 2002 Clarence Mccaslin Funeral service for Clarence McCaslin, 81, of Chickasha, Oklahoma, will be held at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, March 26, 2002, in the Chapel of Sevier Funeral Home. Clarence McCaslin was born July 20, 1920, the son of Henry and Pearl (Dye) McCaslin in LaFlore, Oklahoma, and died Saturday, March 23, 2002, in Chickasha, Oklahoma. He met Violet in high school, and they were married February 4, 1942, in Wellington, Kansas. The couple moved from Moore to Chickasha in 1978. Clarence retired from Tinker Air Force Base after 31 years of service. He served as a Sergeant in the U. S. Air Corps and was decorated with the American Theater Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal and the World War II Victory Medal. He enjoyed farming, raising black Angus cattle, gardening, fishing and spending time with grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife: Violet Kathryn McCaslin, on September 26, 1998, and 2 brothers, Leo and Ray McCaslin. Survivors include: his son: Ron McCaslin and fiancee, Bobbie Wright, of Chickasha, Oklahoma; grandson: Ronald Clarence McCaslin Jr. and wife, Charmen, of Chandler, Oklahoma; granddaughter: Kristy Stevens and husband, Scott, of Yukon, Oklahoma; 5 great grandchildren: Justin and Erin McCaslin, and Paige, Nicole and Tanner Stevens; sister-in-law: Juanita McCaslin of Oklahoma City. Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.
