McDowell, Elmer Glen Elmer Glen McDowell was born October 30, 1914 in Grady County, Oklahoma. He married Ola Pearl Long in Ryan, Oklahoma on Dec. 30, 1933. He was preceded in death by his parents E.E. and Nettie McDowell, wife of 62 years Ola Pearl McDowell, and one sister Olive Long. His survivors include his wife Lou Ella McDowell of the home; sister Erma Cassel of Yukon; son Raymond McDowell and wife Charlotte of Mustang, OK; two daughters, Sue Kimberling and husband Don of Tulsa, OK and Glenda Hamman and husband Reg of North Little Rock, AR; grandchildren, Glenette Russell and husband Tim, Eddie McDowell and wife Kari, Chad McDowell and wife Angie, Adam McDowell and wife Ronda, Kari Romoser and husband Mark, Matt Kimberling and wife Mary, Tim Kimberling and wife Leigh, Kevin and Kyle Hamman. He was blessed to enjoy his 13 great grandchildren Hollie and Brent Russell, Blake and Brooke McDowell, Kolton, Bayler, and Hayven McDowell, Jake, Zach, Luke and Lexi Romoser, Amelia Kimberling, Aidan Kimberling; Glen loved and appreciated Lou Ella's children and grandchildren Janet Oglesby and husband Mark, Craig Fitzgerald and wife Tami, Mollie Babb and husband Brad; grandchildren, Craig and Wesley Oglesby, Paige and Grant Fitzgerald, and Taylor and Garrett Babb. Glen was a longtime member of Putnam City Baptist Church, active as a deacon and 'did what needed to be done'. He was also a member of Council Road Baptist Church and in more recent years Chisholm Heights Baptist Church. Glen enjoyed working with his hands, using his inventive mind to create solutions to problems and to help others. As a member of a national travel club and part-time resident of South Texas he will be missed by a host of friends locally and across the nation. Services will be held at 1:30 P.M., Monday, April 5, 2004 at Chisholm Heights Baptist Church with interment to follow in Resurrection Memorial Cemetery. GUARDIAN WEST 41 & N.
