Rev. Linda Pope will officiate. Esther Martha LaFollette McAdams was born Feb. 22, 1914, in Calumet, Okla., and died on Tuesday, March 18, 2003, at her home southwest of Ninnekah. Burial will be in Fairlawn Cemetery, Chickasha, Okla., under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home. ========== The Chickasha Express-Star 20 March 2003 ESTHER MARTHA LaFOLLETTE McADAMS Funeral services for Esther Martha LaFollette McAdams, 89, of Ninnekah, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 21, 2003, in the Ninnekah United Methodist Church, with Rev. Linda Pope officiating. She was born February 22, 1914, in Calumet, the daughter of James and May LaFollette. She died Tuesday, March 18, 2003, in her home southwest of Ninnekah. Esther enjoyed her family's frequent moves during her childhood. She attended several schools, graduating from Blanchard High School. She married James Wash McAdams on April 22, 1936, in Chickasha. He preceded her in death in 1993. She served as the postmaster in Ninnekah for 25 years. Esther was a lifelong member of the Methodist Church and was a faithful member of the Ninnekah United Methodist Church for many years where she was the longtime treasurer and served in several other capacities. She was a member of the Easter Star of Alex and had been a member of the Ninnekah Extension Homemakers. Esther served on the Ninnekah Water Board for several years when it was first organized. She enjoyed gardening and visiting with friends. Survivors include her daughter, Judith McAdams and friend John Parker of Ninnekah; one sister, Ruth Pruitt of Bethany; two sisters- in-law, Pat McAdams of Bonham, Texas, and Jessie McAdams of Riverside, Calif. and a host of cousins. She was also preceded in death by her parents; a brother and sister- in-law, Jim and Frances LaFollette.
