McMILLIN Funeral services for Donald H. McMillin, 81, of Tuttle, were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 5, 2001 at the Tuttle Christian Church. Donald H. McMillin was born Oct. 7, 1919 at the family farmhouse near Newcastle, Okla. He died on May 3, 2001. He married Pauline Jervis on Jan. 25, 1938. They lived in the Newcastle, Tuttle and Oklahoma City area most of their 51 years of married life. After 33 years of federal service, Don retired from Tinker AFB, where he was Manager of the Aircraft Repair Branch. He and Pauline then moved to Phoenix, Ariz. to pursue their love of golf, where they lived for eight years before moving back to Tuttle to be closer to family. In 1989 Don married Bernice Eaton Stanley in Tuttle, where they enjoyed their combined families and also shared with all of them their love of gardening. He was preceded in death by his parents, F.H. and Annie (Canady) McMillin; his first wife, Pauline (Jervis) McMillin; a brother, Tod McMillin; an infant brother, Roscoe McMillin; a sister, Maree Warner; and an infant great granddaughter, Sharna Kate Norman. Survivors include his wife, Bernice, of the home; one daughter, Beverly Sue Norman and husband Terry of Edmond; one son, Jerry Don McMillin and wife Janice of Edmond; two stepchildren, Janet and husband L. Carrol Burris and Tim and wife Lori Eaton, all of Tuttle; four grandchildren, DeAnna Fleck and husband Terry of Edmond, Michael Norman and wife Kathy of Leawood, Kan., Julie Brown and husband Tony of Edmond and Joey Don McMillin of Edmond; four stepgrandchildren, Lyle and wife Evette Burris of Tuttle, Timber and Luke Eaton of Tuttle and Randy Burris of Kansas City, Kan.; six great grandchildren, Andrew, Collin and Taylor Fleck, Stephen and Amber Norman and Evan Brown; four step great grandchildren, Jessica, Tyne, Natalie and Nathan Burris; and one sister, Helen Rogers of Macomb, Okla. Don was an honorable Christian man who lived a long and happy life. He had a wonderful sense of humor and was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and great grandfather. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
