Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Fairlawn Cemetery in Chickasha with the Rev. Randy Southerland officiating. Burial will be under the direction of Don Grantham Funeral Home. Carlos was born Aug. 26, 1924, in Willis, to James Richard and Bertha Duke Muchmore. He married Elsie Lavon Parker on Feb. 4, 1948, in Oakland, Calif. Mr. Muchmore was a veteran of World War II serving in the United States Navy. He worked for Koch Oil Company retiring in 1986. He attended Sunday School at Immanuel Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife of the home; two sons and daughters-in-law, Carlos James and Becky Muchmore of Oklahoma City and Dennis Wayne and Debbie Muchmore of Houston, Texas; a niece and nephew, whom they raised as their own children, Tommy Smith and his wife, Kay, of Odessa, Texas, and Beverly Walls of Oklahoma City; a half brother, Doyle Muchmore of Washington; four grandchildren, Tara Muchmore and Blake Muchmore of Oklahoma City and Amanda Muchmore and Samantha Muchmore of Houston; numerous nieces, nephews and many special friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Haskell “Hack” Muchmore. Memorial contributions may be made to Chisholm Trail Hospice, P.O.
