McCORPIN Funeral service for Vera M. McCorpin, 90, of Chickasha, Oklahoma, will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, August 4, 2004, at the Parkview Christian Church in Chickasha. Graveside service will be held at 3:30 p.m., Wednesday, at the Holdenville Cemetery, Holdenville, Oklahoma. Vera M. McCorpin was born September 24, 1913, in Perry City, Arkansas, the daughter of Sam and Ida (Merck) Burns, and died Saturday, July 31, 2004, in Chickasha. She married Charley B. McCorpin April 19, 1928. He preceded her in death on December 25, 1956. Mrs. McCorpin had lived in Chickasha since 1962. She owned and operated Big Burger Drive In and rental property. She was a member of the Parkview Christian Church. She was also preceded in death by per parents, four brothers, and one sister. Survivors include one daughter, Claudene Alt and beloved son-in-law Jack, of Chickasha, one son, James McCorpin and wife Helen of Houston, Texas; two sisters, Mabel Van Hooser and husband Vance of Holdenville, Oklahoma and Oleta Price of Duncan, Oklahoma; four grandchildren, Renee Alt McIntosh and husband Dorsey of Budapest, Hungary, Greg Alt and wife Lynne of Houston, Texas, Nancy McCorpin of Austin, Texas, Michael McCorpin and wife Debbie of Houston, Texas; one great granddaughter, Meagan McIntosh Adams and husband Josh of Chapel Hill, North Carolina; five great grandsons, Matthew McIntosh of Lexington, Kentucky, Mark McIntosh of Wheaton, Illinois, Lance Alt, Ryan Alt, and Chad Alt of Houston, Texas.
