She was the daughter of J.W. and Ruby McMullen of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Mrs. Moody was a homemaker and a lifelong servant in the church. She devoted her life to her children and grandchildren who adored her. Her remaining family members include her husband of 61 years Rev. John M. Moody of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; three sons: Dr. Tim Moody of Dallas, Texas; Dr. Terry Moody and his wife Jan of Dallas, Texas; Rev. Jim Moody of Wellston, Oklahoma; one daughter, Laura Jolene Banning and her husband Michael of Bethany, Oklahoma; and John Moody Jr. who preceded her in death on November 17, 2001. Eight grandchildren: Mootz Moody and his wife Angela of Kansas City, Missouri; Randy Moody of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Kyle Moody of Austin, Texas; Caleb Moody of Los Angeles, California, Luke Moody of Houston, Texas, David Moody of Auburn, Alabama, Natalie Moody of Mustang, Oklahoma; and Jeffrey Moody of Mustang, Oklahoma. One sister, Scharlene Greenway of Paragould, Arkansas. Joanne Moody was a member of First Southern Baptist Church of Del City, Oklahoma. She died Saturday, August 17, 2002 in the home of her son and daughter-in law, Dr. and Mrs. Terry Moody in Dallas, Texas. She was 80 years of age. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 20, 2002 at First Southern Baptist Church, 6400 S. Sooner Rd, Del City. OK. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park, Okla. City.
