Persons or organizations desiring to use this material for purposes other than stated above must obtain the written consent of the file contributor. ====================================================================== The Verden News March 23, 1913 Alice Duncan was born in Buchanan county, Missouri, February 2, 1860, and died at her home near Carnegi, Oklahoma, Sunday March 23, 1913, of pneumonia. She was united in marriage to James A. Meadows at Halleck, MO., November 4, 1877. To this union were born four children, two sons and two daughters, three of which survive her, W. E. Meadows, St. Joseph, Mo., F. L. Meadows, Verden, and Mrs. Mattie Kilgore of Carnegie and husband to mourn her loss. She joined the Christian church at Linden, Mo., in September of 1881, and was a member at the time of her death. The remains were brought to Verden Sunday, and the funeral services were held at the Christian church, Tuesday at 12 o'clock, conducted by Rev. John A. Tabor and the body was laid to rest in the Verden cemetery amid lots of sorrowing relatives and friends. [Note Date of death and of new obit are the same?] Submitted by Sandi Carter
