Metcalf Funeral service for Dwight D. Metcalf, 77, of Chickasha, Oklahoma will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, September 15, 2000 in the Chapel of Sevier Funeral Home. Dwight D. Metcalf was born October 1, 1922, in Chickasha, Oklahoma, the son of Sidney Allen and Eula Luella (Davidson) Metcalf and died Tuesday, September 12, 2000. He lived in Chickasha most of his life. He and Neljean were married September 1, 1946 in Minco, Oklahoma. Mr. Metcalf was a retired electrician. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a life member of the VFW Post 1192 in Duncan, Oklahoma. Mr. Metcalf was preceded in death by: parents. Survivors include: wife: Neljean Metcalf of the home; 3 daughters: Donna Jean Metcalf of Chickasha, Oklahoma, Carolyn Gail Strain of Chickasha, Oklahoma, Peggy Lou Anderson of Moore, Oklahoma; 3 sons: Richard Allen Metcalf of Chickasha, Oklahoma, Jim Dwight Metcalf of Chickasha, Oklahoma, David Paul Metcalf of Chickasha, Oklahoma; 8 grandchildren: Kevin Charles Anderson, Lori Kay Anderson, Melissa Renee Aquilar, Jerry Dean Dudley, Amy Jo Cissell, Lisa Kay Strain, Michael James Metcalf, and Jennifer Leann Metcalf; 6 great grandchildren; 1 brother: Paul Allen Metcalf of Abilene, Texas; 1 sister: Dorothy Mae Daniel of Manford, Oklahoma; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
