The Verden News
August 2, 1940

Novella, infant babe of Mr. and Mrs. A. D. Mitchell died at 3 o'clock Friday 
afternoon after a brief illness with acute dysentary. She was one year and 3 
months and 16 days.

The funeral service was held at the Baptist church Sunday afternoon with Rev. 
P. F. Harmon officiating. The choir composed of Adeline Maguire and Mattie 
Lou Taylor with Iva Lee Fowler as pianist.

Surviving members of the family are its parents, three sisters, Helen, 
Pauline and Irma and three brothers, Olan, Cleston and Clifford.

Interment was made in the Verden cemetery with Hansen Funeral home in charge 
of burial arrangements.
