C. W. Taylor officiating. Interment was in the Verden cemetery with the Hansen Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Music for the service was furnished by the high school sextet under the direction of Miss Dorothy Lokey. Helen Mitchell was born in Arkansas May 1, 1922. She moved to Verden with her parents in 1933 and passed away in a Chickasha hospital March 10, as a result of severe burns, at the age of 22 years ten months and nine days. Surviving members of the family include two children, Barbara June Mitchell and Jesse Rowena Mitchell, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. D. Mitchell all of Chickasha, three brothers, Pvt. Olen Mitchell of the U. S. Army who is stationed at Camp Swift, Texas, Cleston and Clifford Mitchell, two sisters, Mrs. Pauline Doole and Erma Mitchell of Chickasha.
