Services are under the direction of Brown/Christian Funeral Home. ========== The Chickasha Express-Star 2 January 2003 GREGORY "POKIE" CHARLES MADISON Memorial services for Gregory "Pokie" Charles Madison, 46, of Chickasha, Oklahoma, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 4, 2003, at First Baptist Church, 101 E. First Street, A. I. Walton, Officiating. Gregory was born on February 13, 1956, to Earnest Madison and Dollie Young, who both preceded him in death. Greg attended Chickasha Public Schools, where he was noted for his athletic talents in football. In 1973, he enlisted into the United States Army. During his four years in service, he spent some time touring in Germany. Greg was employed in the oil field industry. He was also self- employed as an auto mechanic, a business that he owned and operated himself. "Pokie" was well known in the Chickasha area due to his outgoing personality and his million-dollar smile. In 1973 Gregory married Linda Miller, and to this union two children were born: Gregory Charles Madison, Jr., and Lutine Vernell Madison. He later met the late Patsy Dale Humphries, of Chickasha, and to this union one child was born, Cody Rashawn Madison. In 1992 he married Gennie Lawler of the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. Gregory leaves to cherish his memories, his family: son, Gregory Charles Madison, Jr..; his wife, Tammy, and their four children, Tamrell, Cherrelle, La Shelle and Tynisha, all of Sacramento, California; son, Cody R. Madison, of Chickasha, Oklahoma; daughter, Lutina V. Madison, and her children, Darrion, Sha'Ranique and Ty'yure, all of Chickasha, Oklahoma; one brother and his wife, Darryal and Lorraine Young, of Chickasha, Oklahoma; one sister and her husband, Vivian and Robert Wimberly, of Sacramento, California; grandmother, Vivian Norwood, aunt, Loretta Wagoner, both of Los Angeles, California; two uncles, Jack C. Young, of Los Angeles, California, and Everett L. Young, of Denver, Colorado; two friends, Arthur "Toby" Powell, and Larry Rhodes, of Chickasha, Oklahoma; very special friend, Natalie Ballard; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and many more special friends.
