February 2002 Georgie Mae [Gamble] Mills Funeral service for Georgie Mae Mills, 81, of Alex, Oklahoma, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 26, 2002, at Alex High School. Georgie Mae Mills was born December 8, 1920, in Sparta, Tennessee, the daughter of James Thomas and Virginia (Miller) Gamble, and died Saturday, February 23, 2002, in Oklahoma City. Mrs. Mills came to Oklahoma as a small child and lived in Grady County the rest of her life. On May 14, 1938, she married Nathan Mills. She served her family as a homemaker. She was preceded in death by: her husband on October 28, 1997; two sons: James Mills and Wiley "Sonny" Mills; her parents; one brother, JB Gamble; one sister, Mary Crouch. Survivors include: four daughters, Ruby and Donnie Hershey, of Alex, Oklahoma, Fredia Sanders, of Chickasha, Oklahoma, Cheryl and Tim Baden, of Moore, Oklahoma, Betty and Glen Sparks of Dibble, Oklahoma; one son, Willie E. Mills, of Alex, Oklahoma; daughter-in-law, Mary Mills, of Channelview, Texas; two sisters, Margie Lusk, of Chickasha, Oklahoma, and Maggie Blackmon, of Meneola, Texas; one brother, Gene Gamble, of Yukon, Oklahoma; 20 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren; 3 great, great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Interment will be in the Dibble Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.
