Persons or organizations desiring to use this material for purposes other than stated above must obtain the written consent of the file contributor. ====================================================================== The Chickasha Express-Star 21 July 2001 Susie Sunshine Talkington Miller Funeral service for Susie Sunshine Talkington Miller, age 90, of Chickasha, Oklahoma, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, July 23, 2001, in the Verden United Methodist Church. Charles Roberts will officiate. Susie Sunshine Talkington was born on August 13, 1910, north of Verden, Grady County, Oklahoma, the daughter of John Graham and Ola Allan Graham. She died on Thursday, July 19, 2001, in Midwest City, Oklahoma. She married Orville Talkington, in October of 1928 in Oklahoma City. He preceded her in death in 1978. She later married Tom Miller on July 11, 1980, in Las Vegas, Nevada. He preceded her in death in 1989. Susie lived in the Verden area most of her life. For many years, she operated the Wayside Inn, now known as Vivian's Cafe. In 1991, she moved to Chickasha where she met Tom Fair. They had lived as husband and wife for the last ten years. Susie was a member of the Verden United Methodist Church. She was also preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, and four sisters. Survivors include her husband, Tom Fair of the home; several nieces and nephews. Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of the McRay's Verden Funeral Home. She will be in state at the Verden Funeral Home from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 22, 2001.
