MANGUS Funeral services for Wilma L. Mangus, 74, of Chickasha, Okla., are pending with Ferguson Funeral Home. Wilma L. Mangus was born Dec. 3, 1928, and died on Wednesday, May 7, 2003, in Oklahoma City. ========== The Chickasha Express-Star 8 May 2003 WILMA L. MANGUS Funeral services for Wilma L. Mangus, 74, of Chickasha, will be held Saturday, May 10, 2003, at 10:00 a.m. in the Grand Assembly of God Church at their new location at 102 W. Almar in Chickasha. Reverend Larry Hatfield will be officiating. Wilma L. Mangus was born December 3, 1928, in Enid, Oklahoma, the daughter of Charles Thomas Hibbets and Notie V. Young Hibbets. She died Wednesday, May 7, 2003, in Oklahoma City. Wilma grew up in Enid and graduated from Enid High School. She married Lloyd R. Mangus in Enid on February 12, 1949. She and her husband moved to the Oklahoma City and Bethany area in 1970 because of her husband's employment and transfer with the railroad. They came to Chickasha in 1987. Wilma enjoyed playing the piano and organ and sewing. In her younger years she and her sister and brother-in-law had a trio called The Glad Tidings Trio. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd on June 11, 1990, both parents, and two children, Larry Keith Mangus, in 1950 and Gary Ray Mangus in 1951. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Margaret Mangus, of Chickasha; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Melvin and Helen Hibbets, of New Orleans, LA, and Harold and Sallie Hibbets, of Enid, OK; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Elsie Mae and Marvin Rowland of Oklahoma City, OK, and JoAnn and Clarence Reim, of Phoenix, AZ; her mother-in-law, Ida Mangus, of Enid, Oklahoma; three grandchildren, Kevin and Frankie Mangus and Keith Mangus, all of Chickasha.
