Charles E. Amos, pastor of the Rancho Village Baptist Church in Oklahoma City, officiating. Mrs. Moncrief was born on July 20, 1909, near Chickasha, and died on Friday Dec. 6, 1985, in Hagerstown, Md. She married John Moncrief on Oct. 29, 1932, in Chickasha. Mrs. Moncrief lived in Chickasha until 1962. While living in Chickasha, she had worked in the J.C. Penny's store in Chickasha. After leaving Chickasha she moved to Oklahoma City. She had been a member of the Meridian Home Demonstration Club in Chickasha. Mrs. Moncrief was a member of the Rancho Village Baptist Church in Oklahoma City. She was preceded in death by both parents, John F. Sitterding and Lila Mae Douglas; by four brothers and two sisters; and by her husband, John W. Moncrief, on March 4, 1975. Survivors include one son, James Robert Moncrief, of Oklahoma City; one daughter, Kay Johnna Strange, of Hagerstown, Md; one brother, George Sitterding of Chickasha; one sister, Juanita Busby of Chickasha; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Interment will be in Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Brown-Binyon Funeral Home.
