Robert "Bob" Moore was born June 19, 1924, and died on Friday, July 19, 2002 ==================== The Chickasha Express-Star 21 July 2002 ROBERT E, "BOB" MOORE Funeral service for Robert E. "Bob" Moore, age 78, of Chickasha, Oklahoma, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, July 22, 2002, in the McRay Funeral Home Chapel. Alvin Williams will officiate. Robert E. Moore was born the son of James Clifford Moore and Sally Mara Moore, on June 19, 1924. He died Friday, July 19, 2002, in Chickasha. He married Jean Moore on November 13, 1945, in Dallas, Texas. In his early years, Bob worked as a bus driver for Oklahoma Transportation. He also drove a truck for Illinois California Express and was a private owner/operator for many years. Bob logged more than five million miles without a chargeable accident. He also worked for Bob Lowe's Farm Machinery Company. Bob worked and retired from Farmland Industry. He also owned and operated an American Motors and Used Car dealership for many years. Bob was a 32nd Degree Mason. He was president and board member of the Chickasha Antique Car Club. Bob enjoyed restoring antique a utomobiles in his spare time. He was a past member of the Gold Wing Motorcycle Club. Bob served as councilman of Chickasha for eight years and Vice Mayor. He was a member of the Trinity Baptist Church where he was a Sunday School teacher and served as treasurer. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, brother, James O. Moore, son, Robert E. Moore, Jr., mother-in-law, Florine Parkey, father-in-law, Taylor Parkey, and brother-in-law, Taylor Parkey, Jr. Survivors include: Wife: Jean Moore, of Chickasha; son and daughter- in-law: Clifford and Pat Moore, of Yukon; daughter and son-in-law: Glenda and John Crump, of Chickasha; granddaughter: Tasha Crump, of Chickasha; granddaughter: Shana and husband, Christopher Sagasta, of Phoenix, Arizona; granddaughter: Stacye and husband, Chris Minor, of Yukon; great grandchildren: Tiffany and Sabrina Sagasta; great grandchildren: Zak and Joey Minor, of Yukon. Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of the McRay Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the building fund at the St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Chickasha or the charity of your choice.
