Funeral Services for Mrs. Hattie Morris Were Held Monday Funeral services for Mrs. Hattie Morris, 85, were held at 2:30 pm Monday from the Southern Baptist Church in Rush Springs. Officiating were Rev. Hollis Morris, pastor of the New Hope Baptist Church, Enid. He was assisted by Rev. Joe Mosley, pstor of the Southern Baptist Church. Mrs. Morris died at 10 pm Friday at the Grady Memorial Hospital in Chickasha. She was born September 19, 1881, in Texas. Her childhood years were spent in many parts of Oklahoma and Indian Territory. She was married to John Wesley Morris on November 24, 1895. Burial in the Rush Springs cemetery was under the direction of Callaway- Smith Funeral Home. Five delegates and alternates her grandsons - Glen Grisson, Joe Grissom, Terrell Dorman, Paul Ray Morris, Jay Bond, and Earl Morris. Survivors include three sons, Guy Morris of Duncan, Carl Morris of Rush Springs, and Mount Morris of Portland, Oregon; two daughters, Mrs. Harell Grissom of Ninnekah and Mrs. Blanche Bond of Oklahoma City; two brothers, Ed and Andy Tackett of Albuquerque, New Mexico; two sisters, Mrs. Florence Hatchett of San Pedro, California and Mrs. Ora Miller of Bell Flower, California; 33 grandchildren; 68 great grandchildren; and 9 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three daughters and two sons.
