Morris was born Nov. 14, 1928 and died March 7, 2003. ========== The Chickasha Express-Star 10 March 2003 RICHARD MILES MORRIS Funeral services for Richard Miles Morris, 74, of Chickasha, will be held Wednesday, March 12, 2003, at 10:30 a.m. in the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel. Richard Miles Morris was born November 14, 1928, in Chickasha, Oklahoma, the son of William Jennings Bryan Morris and Ada Allen Morris. He died Friday, March 7, 2003, in Chickasha. Richard grew up in the Grady County area and graduated from school at Friend School. After high school graduation he joined the U. S. Air Force, where he was an aircraft mechanic on B-52 airplanes. He served during the Korean Conflict and was honorably discharged in 1956. He married Dalores Stites in 1950, in Chickasha and to this union his two daughters, Carol and Leisa, were born. Richard had been employed with the Public Service Company in Chickasha for over eight years. He then opened Morris Brothers Horse Trailers in Chickasha, where he retired. Richard enjoyed his horses, hunting and specially crafting and machining and was known to be able to make or machine anything. He also had his pilot's license and enjoyed flying. He was preceded in death by his father, William Jennings Bryan Morris, one brother, Kenneth Morris and two sisters, Imogene Morris and Laura Walton. Survivors include his mother, Ada Morris of Chickasha; two daughters and sons-in-laws, Carol and Richard Campbell of Newalla, Oklahoma, Leisa and Charles Baker, of Tulsa, Oklahoma; three brothers, John Morris, of Elmore City, Oklahoma, Wayne Morris of Fort Stockton, Texas, Elmer Morris, of Washita, Oklahoma; one sister, Norma Jones, of Chickasha; four grandchildren; two great grandchildren, seven nieces and nine nephews. Casket bearers will be Cory Baker, Chad Baker, Jeremy Clanton and Kenny Morris.
