Rev. David Mercer, of Minco United Methodist Church, officiated. Donald Gene Meyers was born April 22, 1941, in Minco, and died Thursday, May 20, 2004, at Southwest Medical Center in Oklahoma City, Okla., after a work-related accident. Burlal was in Evergreen Cemetery, Minco, under the direction of Huber- Reynolds Funeral Home, of Minco. ========= The Tuttle Times 26 May 2004 DONALD GENE MEYERS Funeral services for Donald Gene Meyers, 63 of Minco were held at 10:00 am Monday, May 24th at the First Baptist Church of Minco with Rev. David Mercer of the Minco United Methodist Church officiating. Burial was at Evergreen Cemetery in Minco under the direction of Huber-Reynolds Funeral Home in Minco. Mr. Meyers was born April 22, 1941 in Minco to Fred "Cotton" and Silva May (Henderson) Meyers and died Thursday, May 20 at SouthWest Medical Center after a work related accident. Mr. Meyers had lived in the Minco community all of his life and graduated from Minco High School. He married Melinda (Brothers) on June 2, 1962 in Union City. Mr. Meyers worked for Grady County as a heavy equipment operator for many years and was a member of the Minco United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents: Fred and Silva Meyers; one brother: Buddy Meyers; three sisters: Durella Mae Bratcher, Jo Etta Hill, and Edna Rae Meyers. Mr. Meyers is survived by his wife Melinda of the home in Minco; two sons and daughters-in-law: Donald and Cynthia Meyers of Buffalo, Texas and Dean and Glenda Meyers of Charleston, Arkansas; two daughters and sons-in-law: Donita and Scott Kordis of Cashion, Oklahoma and Donna and Don McMahon of Minco; 12 Grandchildren: Cristina, Donald and Derek Duffey; Ryan Kordis; Lauren, Luke and Lane McMahon; Mlinda Meyers, Bethany Meyers, Hannah Meyers, Abigail Meyers and Caleb Meyers. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Return to Grady County Archives: http://www.usgwarchives.net/ok/grady/grady.html
