All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Byron Ward Morris TUTTLE, Okla. - Byron Ward Morris, 83, died Tuesday, March 3, 1998. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. today in Resthaven Memory Gardens at Oklahoma City. Arrangements are by Bill Merritt South Funeral Service of Oklahoma City. Mr. Morris was born in Howe, Texas. He was inducted into the Army Air Corps in 1941. He received training in the United States and served with the 20th Bomb Command. He was honorably discharged in 1944 at the rank of master sergeant. He married Virginia Carter in 1943 at Great Bend, Kan. They moved from Kansas in 1945 to Oklahoma City, where he took a job at Tinker Air Force Base. He retired from there in 1972. In 1954, they moved to a farm in Tuttle. His wife preceded him in death. Mr. Morris was an attorney and a municipal judge. Survivors include two daughters, Mary Ann Williams of Oklahoma City and Virginia Fitzgerald of Amarillo; four sons, Richard K. Morris of Jenks, Byron Eugene Morris of Midwest City and Donald Lee Morris and Tommy Ray Morris, both of Oklahoma City; two brothers; four sisters; 19 grandchildren; and 13 greatgrandchildren.
