Mrs. Marshall was born in Green county, Iowa, 47 years ago on the 12th day of last February.  Being left an orphan at an early age she was adopted by a family named Bond who resided in Kansas.  Her first marriage occurred to E. J. Hernd, in Butler county, Kansas, and three children were born to this union, one boy and two girls. She was married to Mr. Fallis Marshall twelve years ago.  They came to Verden the year this country opened, where they have since resided.  The deceased leaves her husband and two children by her first husband to mourn her sudden demise, besides a host of loving friends. The funeral services were held at 300 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the Baptist Church of which church the deceased was a member, conducted by Rev. Harman.  Interment in the Verden cemetery.
