Morgan, Jr. John A. Morgan, Jr. 77, of 3104 N.W. 65th St., OKC 73116, went to be with his Lord Jesus Christ on Sunday, Oct. 22, 2000, after a long and courageous battle with illness. He was born on July 15, 1923, in OKC, the son of John A. and Lillian Morgan. He proudly served in the Army Air Corps with the 776th Bomb SQ 464th Bomb Group during WWII. He graduated from Oklahoma City University in 1953. He was married on Dec. 2, 1944, to D. Jeanne Grisham, in Boise, ID, and enjoyed 55 years of marriage. John and his family had previously lived in Duncan where he worked for Halliburton as an engineer for 19 years. John dedicated his life to Jesus Christ in 1971 and began a Christian ministry at 505 N. 13th, Muskogee, OK in 1973. He returned to OKC in 1979 where he worked for the Okla. State Corporation Commission as an oil and gas inspector. John's faith and testimony encouraged, aided and inspired countless others to seek and know the Lord. His love of God is his legacy to his family and friends. He was a good faithful servant of the Lord. John is survived by wife, Jeanne, of the home; 3 children, Jon Marc and wife, Bernie Morgan of OKC, Keith and wife, Pam Morgan of Chickasha; daughter, Alicia and husband, Harold Hudson of The Woodlands, TX; one brother, Bobby Morgan of OKC; 9 grandchildren, Kristine and Husband Tim Kilkenny of Boise, ID, Jon Morgan, Jr., OKC, Stephen and wife Charity Morgan of Chickasha, Stephenie Morgan of Chickasha, Jaclyn, Victor and Victoria Hudson of The Woodlands, TX, and Blake Morgan of OKC; 1 great-grandchild, T.J. Tucker of Boise, ID; and many relatives and friends. Services were held Wed., October 25th, at the Episcopal Church of the Resurrection, OKC. Private burial at Rose Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to the Resurrection House Homeless Ministry, P.O. Box 72, Chickasha, OK 73023. Arrangements were under the direction of Guardian North, 11600 N. Pennsylvania Ave.
