Geraldine Ballard Tucker Moran was born December 14, 1916, in Pocasset, Oklahoma, the daughter of J.W. and Ethel (Statton) Ballard, and died Tuesday, May 8, 2001, in Chickasha, Oklahoma. Mrs. Moran lived in Grady County all of her life. She graduated from Friend High School in 1933. She worked at Grady Memorial Hospital for 22 years. Mrs. Moran was an active member of the Sharon Baptist Church, she served in many positions, and sang in the choir. She was preceded in death by: her parents; husband: Robert Tucker, January, 1966; 1 brother: Paul Ballard. Survivors include: 1 daughter: Karen Tucker Hamlet of Longwood, Florida; 2 grandchildren: Jennifer Hamlet of Orlando, Florida, John Hamlet III and wife, Melanie, of Miami, Florida; 1 stepdaughter: Shirley Moran Salter and husband, Don, of Allen, Texas; 2 step-grandchildren: Todd Salter of Allen, Texas, Kara Salter of Allen, Texas; 1 sister: Pauline Wolfe of Alex, Oklahoma. Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.
