TILLIE NOVY Funeral services for Mrs. Tillie Novy were held Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. in the Verden First Baptist Church, Rev. Sam Anderson officiating. A quartet, composed of Mrs. A. W. Finley, Mrs Dale Henricks, Miss Linda West and Miss Mary McVey, sang "Beautiful Isle," "Beyond the Sunset" and "The Old Rugged Cross." They were accompanied by Mrs. Don Brown. Pallbearers were Paul DeBoard, Lee Fowler, Don Brown, Dank Pitts, Phelan Mobbs and Kenneth West. Interment was in Verden Cemetery under the direction of Hansen's Funeral Home. Mrs. Novy was born Jan. 24, 1877 near Austin, Texas, and died Feb. 26 at the home of her son. She was married to Charles Novy at Ennis, Texas, Oct. 27, 1896. They moved to Hobart in 1902 and to Verden in 1915. Mr. Novy preceded her in death Sept. 3, 1960.
