All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== The Chickasha Star 2 November 1967 FUNERAL SERVICES FOR VIRGIL RAY NOVY Virgil Ray Novy, 31, died in Salt Lake City, Utah, on Wednesday, October 25th. He was born August 4, 1936 in Chickasha. Survivors include his parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Novy of Verden, one son, Russel Lynn Novy of Verden; three sisters, Mrs. Mary Frances Wright of Fort Smith, Arkansas; Mrs. Willie Mae Nochols, of Grand Blanc, Michigan; and Mrs. Charlotte Shubert of Commerce, Georgia; one brother, Charles Novy of Woodward, Oklahoma; and two half sisters, Mrs. Mildrad Nigh of Oklahoma City; and Mrs. Billie Jean Shore of Lawton. Funeral services were held at the First Baptist Church of Verden, with Rev. Paul Hampton, pastor, officiating, assisted by Rev. Sam Anderson of Cache, at 2:30 p.m. October 29. He was laid to rest in the Verden Cemetery. Casket bearers were Sidney Smith, Earl Venable, Charles Phelps, Ira Linn, Donald Henry and Ray Kortemeier. Music, "Beyond The Sunset," "In The Garden"and "Home Over There" was rendered by Mrs. Harry Dodson, Mrs. W. A. Finley, Mrs. Max Upchurch and Mrs. Clifford Nath, with Mrs. Donald D. Brown at the piano.
