NEWBERRY PASSES AWAY MONDAY EVENING Mrs. Louise Pelzer Newberry, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Pelzer, pioneer citizens of this community, died from a heart attack at her home while gathering eggs and was found in the hen house around 7:30 p. m., Monday, March 1st. Mrs. Newberry was born at Pauls Valley, Okla., December 31, 1898 and was 44 years and two months old when she passed away. She, with her parents moved to a farm south of Verden in January 1901 and had lived in this community ever since. She was united in marriage to W. F. Newberry in 1918. Surviving members of the family include her husband and four children, Arthur of Sunol, Calif., Mrs. Ethel Gray, Anadarko Route 2, and Robert and Rosie, who are at home; two sisters and two brothers. Mr. Newberry was in Calif. working at the time of her passing away, but will be here for the funeral. The funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 in the Baptist church and burial in the Verden cemetery with the Hansen Funeral Home in charge. Submitted by Sandi Carter
