Newbrough-Reyes Funeral Services for Helen R. Newbrough-Reyes, 67, of Chickasha, Oklahoma, will be held Tuesday, July 10, 2001, at 10 a.m. in the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Larry Hatfield officiating. Helen R. Newbrough-Reyes was born October 24, 1933 in Mobectie, Texas, the daughter of Albert R. and Ethel Laverne Leonard Newman. She died Saturday, July 7, 2001 in Chickasha, Oklahoma. Helen attended school in Mobectie and Pampa, Texas. She graduated from Pampa High School in 1951. Helen was a devoted, loving daughter, mother, grandmother, and wife. She believed in being courteous and showing kindness and love in all circumstances, even in sickness and sorrow. Helen has made her home in Chickasha since 1970. Upon the death of her husband, Bill Newbrough, in 1979, she entered the local workforce. She eventually retired from Delta Faucet. While working at Delta Faucet, Helen met and fell in love with James Reyes. Their love for each other lead to marriage, each sharing all the sorrows and joys of both. Helen was quick to embrace anyone who chose to become a part of her family. She welcomed everyone into her family with open arms and a generous, loving spirit. Her family received from her an unconditional love that deserves to be past on from generation to generation. Survivors include her husband, James Reyes; two sons Robert L. Newbrough and Jim Newbrough; two daughters Debbie Butler and Jamie Hayworth, all of Chickasha, Oklahoma. Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery in Chickasha, Oklahoma under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
