All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Plainview Mennonite Cemetery--Chickasha OK ©The Chickasha Express-Star Monday, 19 June 2006 Menno Nightingale Funeral service for Menno Nightingale, age 87, of Chickasha will be held 1:30 p.m. Wednesday June 24, 2006 at the Plainview Mennonite Church. Menno Nightingale was born August 28, 1918 in Verden, Oklahoma. He died Saturday June 17, 2006 in Chickasha. He was the son of Alfred and Ida [Unruh] Nightingale. Mr. Nightingale had lived in Grady County all of his life, where he farmed and was a dairyman. He married Florence Redger January 12, 1941. He was a member of Plainview Mennonite Church. One son Eldon Nightingale, one brother Orlie Nightingale and daughter-in-law Marcella Nightingale preceded him in death. Survivors include: his wife: Florence Nightingale of the home; two daughters: Lucille Huber and husband Jim of Hilman, Minn.; Nadine Friesen and husband Marvin of Barren, Wisc.; five sons: Kenneth Nightingale and wife Margaret of Columbus, Miss.; Richard Nightingale and wife Judy of West Point, Miss.; Dennis Nightingale and wife Marlene of Stover, Mo.; Robert Nightingale and wife Judine of Barron, Wisc.; James Nightingale and wife Charlotte of Chickasha, OK.; four sisters: Dessie Koehn of Moundridge, Kan.; Mary Nightingale of Montezuma, Kan.; Ruby Koehn of Montezuma, Kan.; Sophia Nightingale of Fairview, OK.; seven brothers: Clarence Nightingale of Dumas, Ark.;; Daniel Nightingale of Chickasha; Frank Nightingale of Chickasha; Glen Nightingale of Chickasha; John Nightingale of Dalhart, Tx.; Cecil Nightingale of Bloomfield, Iowa; Homer Nightingale of Leland, Miss.; one daughter-in-law: Faith Nightingale of Twin Falls, Idaho; one sister-in-law: Evaline Nightingale of Chickasha; 31 grandchildren and 44 great grandchildren. Interment will be in the Plainview Mennonite Cemetery, Chickasha, Oklahoma under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.
