Born July 21, 1905, in Bolivar, Missouri to James and Nettie Conn. Martha moved to Minco, OK, as a toddler. She lived there with her parents, two sisters, and five brothers until she graduated from high school. She then moved to her beloved Oklahoma City after graduation and attended Blackwood Business College. It was there she met her future husband Ray Kenneth Osborn, and they married September 30, 1932, in Tulsa, OK. The couple had two children Ray Kenneth Osborn II and Martha ('Marty') Kay Osborn Rustin. Martha never wanted to be away from Oklahoma City for long. When the couple and their children moved to Casper, Wyoming, in 1953, she could not stay there for more than six months before moving the family back to Oklahoma City. She worked for many years as a secretary and assistant to oil men Walter Curry and Thomas Walbert and later managed properties owned both by herself and others. Martha was preceded in death by her husband Ray, her son Kenneth, both her parents, and all her siblings. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Marty and Bill Rustin of Wichita, Kansas, a granddaughter Laura Rustin Nicholson and her husband Bill, also of Wichita, Kansas; two grandsons Ray Kenneth Osborn III and Chris Osborn, both of Oklahoma City; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held on Monday, July 8, 2002 at 3:00 P.M. at the Hahn-Cook Chapel with interment to follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. Published in the Oklahoman on 7/8/2002.
