Orange CACHE — Funeral for Reetus O. Orange, 92, Cache, will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Philemon Baptist Church, Ada, with the Rev. C.R. Hill officiating. Mr. Orange died Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2003, at his home. Burial will be at Rose Dale Cemetery, Ada, under direction of Jefferson Funeral Home. He was born Feb. 27, 1911, in Chickasha to Hayes and Bertha Orange. He moved to Cache in 1995 from Ada. He married Alberta Murphy on June 19, 1936, in Lawton. He was a member of Reaper Baptist Church, Ada. He graduated from Lincoln High School, Chickasha. He worked as a mechanic and a bus driver for Oklahoma Transportation Company, Oklahoma City. He moved to Ada in August 1936. He worked for Ford Motor Company, Ada, and he taught auto mechanics in the Bying School System. He was a qualified driver with a CDL. Survivors include two sons: J.W. McCarthy, Arlington, Va.; and Steve Dawson, Oklahoma City; a daughter, Betty Dawson, Oklahoma City; a sister, Hazel I. Smith and her husband Horace Smith, Cache; eight grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews; and a special great-nephew, David Smith.
