Wake services will be held at 7 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 11, 2002, in the Chapel of Sevier Funeral Home. Kenneth Eugene Pace was born July 26, 1929, in Wichita, Kan., and died on Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2002, in Chickasha. Burial will be in the Holy Name section of Rose Hill Cemetery. ========== The Chickasha Express-Star 10 October 2002 KENNETH EUGENE PACE Funeral Mass for Kenneth Eugene Pace, 73, of Chickasha, Oklahoma, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, October 12, 2002, at the Holy Name Catholic Church. Wake service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Friday, October 11, 2002, in the Chapel of Sevier Funeral Home. Kenneth Eugene Pace was born July 26, 1929, in Wichita, Kansas, the son of Clifford C. and Mary Evelyn [HOPPE] Pace, and died October 8, 2002, in Chickasha, Oklahoma. Mr. Pace moved to Chickasha in 1944 and graduated from St. Joseph Academy in 1947. He served in the U. S. Navy from 1947 to 1950. He and Barbara Gene Hankins were married December 29, 1948. She preceded him in death. Mr. Pace started H and P Wholesale Meat Company with his father-in-law, Robert Hankins and Chickasha Wholesale Meats in 1968. He joined Baity Screw Machine Products in May of 1972. He then went into business with his dad and brother. He was a member of the Elks Lodge, Chickasha Country Club, and was Eucharistic Minister at the Holy Name Catholic Church. Mr. Pace loved fishing, hunting, horse racing with his best friend, Clarence (Lefty) Maher. He also loved being with his family and friends. He was preceded in death by: wife, Barbara Gene Pace; parents, Clifford and Mary Evelyn Pace; 1 brother, Jerry Pace. Survivors include: 5 sons: Kenny Pace of the home, Ricky Pace of the home, Chuck Pace and wife, Denice, of Chickasha, James Pace of Chickasha, Mike Pace and wife, Michele, of Chickasha; 1 daughter: Vickie McCalla and husband, Robert, of League City, Texas; 5 grandchildren: Jon and Kendra Pace of Yukon, Oklahoma, Jared Pace of Chickasha, Amanda Pace of Chickasha, Melissa McCalla of Houston, Texas, Kimberly McCalla of League City, Texas; 5 sisters: Jacquelyn O'Shea of Dodge City, Kansas, Pat Goss and husband, Bruce, of Chickasha, Dorothy Bingham and husband, Ted, of Chickasha, Angela Braun and husband, Frank, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Mary Kay Howell and husband, Bob, of Safford, Arizona; 2 brothers: Gene Pace and wife, Fran, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Dick Pace and wife, Bea of Oklahoma City; many nieces and nephews. Interment will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery, Holy Name Section, under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home. --------------------------------------------------------------------
