PITTS Funeral services for Barbara B. Pitts, 69, of Gainesville, Fla., formerly of Chickasha, Okla., are pending with Ferguson Funeral Home. Barbara B. Pitts was born Oct. 30, 1933, and died on Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2003, in Gainesville. ========== The Chickasha Express-Star 24 October 2003 BARBARA BERNICE PITTS Graveside services for Barbara B. Pitts, 69, of Gainesville, Florida, formerly of Chickasha, will be held Saturday, October 25, at 1:30 p.m. in the Rose Hill Cemetery, with Sister Alice Wendling officiating. Barbara B. Pitts was born October 40, 1933, daughter of Roy Hill and Marie (Nunn) Hill. She died October 22, 2003, after a brief illness in the Alachua General Hospital in Gainesville, FL. She grew up in Chickasha and graduated from Chickasha High School. She later attended OCW, Now USAO. She had been employed in several jobs, including working for Bill Broterson, attorney at law, and Little Jack's Grocery Store. She moved to Gainesville, FL, in 1996, where she served as a foster grandparent for the Alachua County School Board. She was a longtime member of the Full Gospel Church in Chickasha. She was preceded in death by both parents, two brothers, one sister, and one grandson. Survivors include one daughter, Stephanie Packer, of Gainesville, FL; four sons: Steve Wilkins, Richard McGuire, Jimmy Pitts, and Bruce Pitts, all of Chickasha; three grandchildren: Wayne and Jeremy Wilkins and Chanity Brown; and one great grandchild, Juliana Davis.
