Pettijohn Funeral service for Dale B. Pettijohn, 74, of Chickasha, Oklahoma will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, May 3, 2006 in the Chapel of Sevier Funeral Home. Dale B. Pettijohn was born July 22, 1931 in Rush Springs, Oklahoma the son of Newton and Ethel [McCosh] Pettijohn and went to be with his Lord April 30, 2006 in Chickasha. Dale was raised in Lawton. He moved to the Laverty area in 1962. Dale worked at Ft. Sill in engineering, retiring in 1979. He continued to farm and ranch in the Laverty Community after his retirement. He was a member of the Grace Baptist Church. He and Melba White were married August 4, 2001. Dale was preceded in death by: his parents, 5 brothers and sisters and his first wife and mother of his children, Thelma [Lutz] Pettijohn. Survivors include: his wife: Melba Pettijohn; children: Donna Jernigan and spouse, Charlie; Cliff Pettijohn and spouse, Andrea; Richard Pettijohn and spouse, Janet; Gary Williams and spouse, Teresa Clayton Williams; grandchildren: Cindy Lewis and spouse; Landon Michael Pettijohn and spouse, Lori; Kent Pettijohn and spouse, Jennifer; Jarred Pettijohn and spouse, Shambra; Dena Pettijohn; Mark Jernigan; Lara Jernigan; Kimberly Moreland; Adair Ellison; D. J. Williams; Rebecca Williams; Jennifer Jantzen and spouse, Regan; Troy Williams and spouse, Amanda; great grandchildren: Jenna Lewis, Ramsey Jantzen, Micah Williams and John Pennick.
