Persons or organizations desiring to use this material for purposes other than stated above must obtain the written consent of the file contributor. ====================================================================== The Verden News February 11, 1935 OBITUARY Funeral services were conducted at the Baptist church Saturday afternoon forObit of Julia Dempsey - Grady County, Oklahoma Alberta Potter, who succumbed Friday night about 10:30 o'clock after a short illness. Alberta had complained of not feeling well the day before she became seriously ill with hemorrhage of the brain which soon claimed her in death. Rev. C. W. Taylor preached the funeral service at 3:30 o'clock Saturday afternoon at the Baptist church of which she was a member. Modrell Alberta Potter was born in Texas, August 1, 1910, passed away at the home of her mother, Mrs. J. M. Potter, January 25, 1935, at the age of 24 years, 5 months and 24 days. She was known among her friends as Alberta, having received her education in Verden schools. She was united in marriage to Tom Manning and to this union one daughter was born, Vaunseal. She is survived by her husband and daughter, Father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Potter, two brothers, Odwell and Beryl, also a host of other relatives and friends. Interment was made in the Verden cemetery with Hansen Funeral Home in charge. Submitted by Sandi Carter
