Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, August 16, at the Southern Baptist Church in Rush Springs, with the Rev Elmer Whitehead officiating. Burial was in the Rush Springs Cemetery under direction of the Callaway-Smith-Cobb Chapel in Rush Springs. Frank was born Wednesday, December 3, 1941 in Rush Springs, to Richard and Lula Bell (Gilmore) Peterman. Frank married Georgia Kay Scott on August 23, 1960 in Wichita Falls, Texas. She preceded him in death on July 6, 1999. He graduated from Ninnekah High School. He received his bachelor's degree in Pharmacology from SWOSU in 1970. Frank lived in Rush Springs most of his life, he owned and operated the Rush Springs Pharmacy. After he closed the pharmacy he moved to Brownsville Texas where he worked until his retirement. He enjoyed being with his family and watching them in sporting events. He liked to visit and drink coffee with everyone in the store. Frank served on the Rush Springs School Board and was president for 20 years, he was also a member of the Lions' Club and the Southern Baptist Church. His survivors include, two sons, Frank Peterman and wife Nikki of Edmond, Todd Peterman and wife Dana of Desoto, Texas; daughter Sandi Ford and husband Robert of Rush Springs; five grandchildren, Austin West, Richard West, Whitney West, Brit and Alexis Morris, Kaylor and Grayson Peterman; brother, Pete Peterman of Purcell; sister, Angie Ogburn and husband Will of Norman; mother-in-law Gracie Scott of Gainesville, Texas. He was preceded in death by his wife; son, Tyler Peterman; parents and a brother, Danny Peterman. Pallbearers were Richard Knapp, Ed Caveny, Buddy Hudson, Johnny Walker, Joe Tunnell, Morris McAdoo, Max Laing and Donnie McKay. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society.
