LaNell Rose Phillips was born May 3, 1929, in Chickasha, Oklahoma, the daughter of Cleo Faye (Sacra) Carr and Thomas Lester Carr. She left this life on August 21, 2002, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. LaNell graduated from Chickasha High School. She then married James R. McMahan and had two daughters, Connie and Sally. She later married Don. R. Phillips who owned and operated Phillips Horse Trailer and then owned Don'ells Dress Shop. LaNell was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Connie, and husband, Don Phillips. Survivors include: 1 daughter and her husband: Sally Mabery and Fred of Chickasha, Oklahoma; 3 grandchildren: Brody Franke, Jennifer Mabery, Kyle Mabery; 2 sisters: Effie Lou Hulsey of Chickasha, Oklahoma, Sue Sullins of Bedford, Texas; 2 brothers: Thomas (Bud) Carr of Chickasha, Oklahoma, John Samuel Carr of Hurst, Texas; many nieces and nephews. Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.
