Phillips Robert E. Phillips, aged 81 of Petaluma, Calif. died Thursday, May 23, 2002. He was born on December 20, 1920 in Oklahoma City and moved to the Tuttle area in 1926. He graduated from Waldon Elementary School and Tuttle High School in 1940. Robert served in the Army Air Force in World War II. He worked as a catering waiter for 25 years at the Fairmont Hotel in San Francisco. He is survived by his wife Mildred Phillips of Petaluma, Calif.; daughter Denise McCoy of Ohio; brother John W. Phillips of Stockton, Calif. and preceded in death by his granddaughter Shannon McCoy of Ohio; brothers George "Alfred" Phillips of Petaluma and Vernon Phillips of Santa Rosa. Private internment was at Calvary Cemetery, Petaluma, Calif. under the direction of Sunset View Mortuary and Cemetery.
