Graveside service was held at 2 pm, Saturday Feb 1 in Rush Springs Cemetery under the directions of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home with Rev Lynn Plant officiating. Mrs Phillips was born Feb 16, 1904 in Idabel, the daughter of Arthur C. and Martha L. (Young) Sharp. She married Benjamin Charles Phillips in Idabel on 19 Sep 1924. She had lived in Rush Springs most of her life and was a resident of Convalescent Center in Chickasha. She attended Idabel schools and was a housewife. She was preceded in death by one son, Marion Phillips, two daughters, Maddie Jordan and Minnie Goff. Survivors include 12 grandchildren, Eugene Phillips of Moore, Carla Gamblin of Tyler, Texas, Carl Moulder, Pat Pursley, Patty Caveny, and Kathy Alfred of Rush Springs, Charles Goff of Inola, Dale Goff, James Goff of Chickasha, and Ronnie Hurst of Oklahoma City; one step son, Simon "Bud" Phillips of Rush Springs; two sisters, Lagather Burns of Idabel and Evie Hoover of Kermit Texas; and several great and great-great grandchildren. -------------------------------------------------------------------- Return to Grady County Archives: http://www.usgwarchives.net/ok/grady/grady.html
