He passed away at a Chickasha hospital at the age of 47 years, 8 months and 9 days. The funeral service was held at the Baptist church with Rev. C. W. Taylor officiating. A quartet, Mesdames Doughty, Simmons, Brown and Maguire with Miss Iva Horn as accompanist. The pall bearers were Rody Dayton, Cecil and Roy Nicholas, Wilbur Craddock, Emery Taylor, and Floyd Simmons. He came to El Reno at the age of 8 years and with the family moved to a home north of Verden, 2 years later, where he grew to manhood. He was married to Effie Jarvis in 1915. To this union two children were born, a son, Billy age 23 and a daughter, Fern, age 20. He moved his family to Colorado where they made their home for 8 years, then returned to Chickasha where he has lived since. He is survived by a son, Billy of Ft. Sam Houston, Texas, a daughter, Fern, of Chickasha, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. T. Palmore, Verden, one sister, Mrs. Ethel Riede of Gracemont and other relatives and friends.
