All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Lockney Cemetery--Lockney TX James Coy "Jim" Pinner LOCKNEY - James Coy "Jim" Pinner, 83, died Saturday, Aug. 30, 2003. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Neely Landrum officiating. Burial will be in Lockney Cemetery by Moore-Rose-White Funeral Home. Mr. Pinner was born Nov. 8, 1919, in Rush Springs, Okla. He was the eighth child of Coy Elmer and Verga Walker Pinner. He was a resident of the Lockney area since 1926 where he was a farmer. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Lockney and a member of the VFW. He served as staff sergeant, airplane crew chief with the 946th Air Engineer Squadron stationed in Naples, Italy. He was honorably discharged from the Army on Dec. 29, 1945. He was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers; and two sisters. Survivors include a sister, Birdie Ritchey of Sunnyvale, Calif.; a brother, Ray Pinner of Bentonville, Ark.; seven nephews; three nieces and their families. The family will receive friends from noon to 5 p.m. today at the funeral home. The family suggests memorials be to BSA Hospice, 600 N. Tyler, Amarillo, TX 79107.
